“Well, I can finally show you why we have been so quiet for three years. We’ve been steadily working on an all new way to create airplanes called “Accu-Sim 2.0”. Our long time customers know Accu-Sim well as it’s been powering our airplanes for over a decade. During that time we’ve learned a lot. While this new technology carries the same Accu-Sim name, this latest version was built brand new from a clean slate.
We are so very happy to say, we have succeeded in everything we set out to do. We didn’t cut any corners and this brand new Accu-Sim technology represents everything we dreamed of. Perhaps the biggest dream and challenge was to create a new aerodynamics system that allowed us to model how an airplane flies through the air. It’s the kind of simulation we knew was possible but wasn’t yet realized. Nobody has done anything like this before. This represents a quantum leap for us, and it’s the beginning of a whole new way of developing airplanes for flight simulation.
I decided early on the first airplane we had to simulate with Accu-Sim 2.0 would be the Comanche 250, as this is an airplane I have owned and operated for over 10 years. It feels like a nice pair of shoes that are perfectly broken in yet still look good. During development I was continuously asking questions without acceptable answers, and our Comanche gave us every answer we asked. Owning the airplane offers tremendous advantages as you don’t need to ask permission or explain why you need to perform some odd sounding test. None of our testing was dangerous but much of it involved things nobody, including me had ever done before. There is a reason I have owned and operated a Comanche 250, N6229P for over a decade, and now through Accu-Sim 2.0, you can better understand why.”

Not much for me to add to what others have said about this plane, but it truly is the best experience I’ve had flying in any sim since I set out on this passion years ago. I’ve heard people mention how great A2A is, this being my first venture, I really can’t echo that enough and imho this is the new standard. My only complaint is that I am ruined towards any other plane now.

Glad to see A2A on MSFS. Hope to see the Connie on MSFS at some point!

Although this is my first A2A aircraft, It’s shown me how much thought and care A2A put into their development process. It’s set a new standard for aircraft that I decide to add to my hangar!

What a Masterpiece, best GA!!!

I have never felt more like flying in a simulator, Awesome work.

A little deception for me. Very poor AP, artificial turbulences and other animations, incompatibility with Logitech/Saitek devices due to exotic programmation (according to MSFS standards), bugs… I thought it could be my main plane, I was wrong and think it’ll stay long time in the hangar.

The best G.A aircraft in the Sim currently. Possibly the best third party add on ever released for a flight sim game.

This is my first my first A2A aircraft for any flight sim and it’s a whole new experience for me. I’ve never felt so immersed in flying, in any flight sim. It makes me not want to fly anything else, including some aircraft from other studios which I used to think were pretty good. This Comanche isn’t just an aircraft. It’s in many ways a simulator within a simulator. It feels like operating a real airplane. Negatives? It’s not the best on frame rate, at least not with relatively weak CPUs (i5 9400 here). Some animation are still not smooth (most were improved in 1.1). And some other, smaller stuff. I hope to see hypoxia simulated one day with oxygen equipment for those 10k+ flights this aircraft is well capable of.

I love this little GA aircraft! It’s so fun to fun and has many cool features like the walkaround and the engine failure model!
Gabor (verified owner) –
What can I say. The best GA for MSFS.

I have the JF Analog Bonanza , Baron and Turbo Arrow III beside the Carenado Mooney, which were my fave’s up to now, but now a new amazing and brilliant star is airborne! What a gem and milestone in sim experience and fun. Thank you for this classic Piper!

A new bar has been set and it’s very high. Truly amazing. Thank You!

I had the Skylane, Cheroke and Bonanza in FSX and love them all. The Comanche is by far the best aircraft in MSFS. I could not be happier. Bringing the steam gauge Skylane into MSFS would probably make me happier.

…the other reviews have said it all. Truly brilliant.

The wait for an A2A MSFS product has been well worth it. Absolute joy to fly

The problem with the A2A Comanche is that you will no longer want to fly any other GA aircraft.
TheAerospaceProfessional –
Real aerospace engineer and pilot here. According to what I have seen and other real pilots have seen and experienced this is the closest to reality aircraft in existence right now! Bravo – Enjoy the well deserved applause to this masterpiece

After a long wait, I can finally simulate properly! The joy of (simulated) flying is back!
Sim UK –
Long awaited arrival into MSFS has been worth the wait.
Experience the feeling of actually owning your own airplane, the flight model is so much more realistic than anything else in MSFS and A2A have managed to improve on darn near perfection.
MSFS 2024 will open up new opportunities thanks to what A2A have done here.
Masterpiece which will get better with each patch and updated.
Bravo!

I also meant to add that I have flown C150s/172S and PA28 in real life when I was younger, I had flying lessons from age 12-16, 15 years have passed since that time, but those experiences are imprinted in my long term memory. The first plane I had lessons in and would mostly use was G-GBLR (UK). A 1974 built C150. The only thing missing from this addon is that strong smell of avgas with the unique smell you can sense when driving a classic car/aircraft. Incidentally I owned an MGB (1978). When I bought her the smell reminded me of my days in the C150.

I own many A2A aircraft for P3D. Excluding the Comanche for P3d. I have flown Cessna 150s/ 172s and PA 28s. No other GA aircraft, in MSFS comes close, not even X-plane Ga aircraft which I personally think have a more realistic feel to them. Whatever witvhcraft A2A has done with the MSFS flight model etc has made me look forward to finishing work to fly this virtual Comanche again. This is the closest I’ll ever get to flying the planes I mentioned when I had lessons when I was younger. Thanks to Scott and the team for making this as this is the only home sim aircraft on Earth that flies like a real GA aircraft, (I have spent thousands of pounds on aircraft addons etc) with so so much attention to detail. And that’s something everyone involved in development should be incredibly proud of!
Brett McCorkle (verified owner) –
Couldn’t be happier, the feel of the aircraft at takeoff and landing is light-years ahead of anything else in the sim. I’ve seen others report bug or two, but haven’t experienced any myself. 10/10 smooth sailing so far.

A2A strikes again. I was a little sceptical reading Mr. Henriques’ superlatives during development and testing but it was all very true. This IS the best addon A2A have ever released and in my opinion the best addon across civil flight sim, airliners included. A masterpiece like we’re used to with that brand on it. Accusim will likely remain untouched for another 20 years if they go on at that remarkable level of development, creativity, innovation and very importantly: customer support. Thank you A2A

Amazing! I wasn’t really interested in GA before, but after seeing the preview I bought it and i’m just blown away!!!! I can’t stop flying it, great job!!!
G Floyd (verified owner) –
Blown away by this aircraft. So dynamic, and like nothing in the sim to date – and ive wasted a lot of money there in the past chasing realism. The hype was deserved with this aircraft!
ChrisHolland (verified owner) –
Wow! Just wow!
What an incredible aircraft. Modelled to perfection. From the simulated walk around to the sound of the rotating beacon you can hear b emote you crank the engine. Such attention to detail is not just modelled, it’s felt, heard and seen.

The new era of MSFS GA is here!

As always, FANTASTIC!
Even better than the old version for P3D and FSX. Well done team!

This is an all new simulator altogether.
Feels so different from any flight simulator I’ve used, yet so similar (or same) to reality!
I’ve not flown a Comanche in real life but I’ve flown many other types including a Sundowner that I’ve owned for 8 years, which is similar in some respect to the Comanche.
I believe this is the most realistic flight simulation experience I’ve ever had.
One negative I found (but probably not A2A’s fault) is the gyro sound when spooling down after turning off the Master switch, It’s not “smoothly” spooling down, it has audible frequency steps…. but that could be a limitation with the sound engine of MSFS… That being said, I don’t think any other aircraft addon does that sound as good as this anyways… It just kills the otherwise perfect immersion of shutting down the aircraft after a perfectly immersive flight.
