PA24 door assigned to axis help

Post by Kilstorm »

Is it possible to assign the Comanche door to an axis to open and close? Theres two parts to the door of the latch and the handle and one would think, a user could assign both features to the same controller as so both are turned on and off but just not sure if it can be done with an axis. I would be using Axis and Ohs for the axis assignment controller.

I would like to connect a push/pull wire to an axis that is connected to my simpit door as so when I open/close the simpit door, it open and closes the door in the sim.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kilstorm,

This isn't really feasible I'm afraid. The door unlock and open/close animations are programmed to correspond exactly with their associated sound effects, and they're also linked to other aspects of the simulation.

Thanks,

Thanks Nick. I created a latch and door assignment that works but not attached to my actual door after your post.

Happy with the results as it's a physical action to do it (not as labor intensive as actually doing it) but not needing to use the mouse or tablet to achieve the end results.
