Engine Start Procedures

Post by II./JG1_Krupinski »

Can't seem to get the 190's (Anton) engine started with the procedures.

Could someone list their personal procedures and maybe even a video showing the procedures?

Best regards!

Ok, I tracked it down to an issue with normalized_starter_torque.

Original value is normalized_starter_torque=0.035

Recommended value is normalized_starter_torque=0.1

This recommended value seems to be 'over modeled' and starts each and every time. Not a bad thing; but as a noob, I am wondering if there is some lower value that will start it but sometimes fail and possibly really dependent on proper procedures.

Any comments or opinions on experiences with testing this value?

Best regards,

Raven

Hi Krupinski,

Have a look at these threads on Sim-Outhouse. I have posted some instructions on how to get the Fw190 working in FSX.

Try this setting for starter.

normalized_starter_torque= 0.065
