Question on Sound editing

So I picked up this craft since its currently free on A2A's store, and I am currently enjoying it so far. But I would like to ask one question, how do I edit the .pk sound file? I am asking due to a funny edit I wanna do, I wish to replace the engine sounds with text to speech noises (yes I have a weird sense of humor). I have the needed software, Cool Edit Pro 2, I can import the sounds but all I get is noisy data sounds, what are the settings I have to use to get these sounds to import properly?

the sound packs and Accu-sim are designed to not be edited.
