Hi
Im new to the a2a skylane and still feeling my way around it.
on other planes with dme they had a toggle switch to go from dme 1 to dme 2.
On the 182 my initial thought was to have one vor on rmt and the other on freq but when I tried this it only gave a dme reading for vor 1
Could some kind soul explain the correct way to do this.

Re: Switching dme vor 1 to vor2
Hi Art,
The way it works with the KN62A is that 'RMT' mode is channelled by the frequency tuned into the NAV1 radio, and 'FREQ' mode works independently. This means you'll need to tune the desired frequency using the knobs on the DME set itself when using FREQ mode, it doesn't just follow the NAV2 radio.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Switching dme vor 1 to vor2
Hi nick thanks for that
Just to recap if I tune vor 1 to 115.00 Cambridge virgin and select rmt then I get the dme from Cam
If I then tune the kap 140 to 115.10 Chester vor and select freq I will get the dme from Chester.
