Cessna 172 Trainer for P3D Academic - Inability to Arrange Flight Worthiness
HI! In short, I cant get the 172 in a state to actually fly. Upon loading the software, the plane is subject to many repairs in the hanger. Read the forums and tried fixes I could find to get the plane repaired and ready to fly. It seems that attempting to facilitate the hanger repairs does not work. So, the 172 is basically stuck in the hanger in some kind of unrepairable condition and I cant seem to figure out how to make it airworthy so I can actually use the software purchase. Help warmly appreciated! Thank you, Brian and Ariana

Hi Brian and Ariana.
Sorry to hear you're having problems. Please can you just confirm the filename of the installer you downloaded and which version of Prepar3D you're running? Basically, we need to check that you're using the correct installer for whichever version of Prepar3D you've got installed.
Please can you also let us know the full path where you've installed the 172. By default for Prepar3D v5 this will be in your "Documents" folder in the "Prepar3D Add-ons" subfolder. However, we should check if the Documents folder is within a Microsoft OneDrive directory, as sometimes the OneDrive client can prevent Accu-Sim from working properly.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick!
I hope I am answering this correctly! The filename of the APPLICATION I downloaded is: C172_P3Dv1-3_Academic. I am not sure if I downloaded some kind of "installer."
The installation path is: C:\Users\Hugo\Downloads\C172_P3Dv23_Academic (Hugo is the user name of our computer)
I hope my answers helped! Im only moderately competent on computers!

Re: Cessna 172 Trainer for P3D Academic - Inability to Arrange Flight Worthiness
Hi Brian,
Thanks for the info. Sounds like you've downloaded the 32-bit installer for the legacy versions of Prepar3D (version 1 through 3).
However, if you've installed a more recent 64-bit version of Prepar3D (either Prepar3D v4 or Preapr3D v5) then you'll need to download the corresponding version of the 172 installer too.
Could you just confirm which version of Prepar3D you have installed?
Thanks,
Nick

Thank you Brian, but please can you tell me which version of Prepar3D you have installed? You mention the Academic licence, but you don't say which version number, e.g. v3, v4, v5?
Thanks,
Nick

Thanks Brian,
In that case, it does sound like you've simply downloaded the wrong installer as mentioned.
Thanks,
Nick

In your account on the A2A store, you should see three separate download panels as shown below, so it should just be a case of clicking on the one that refers to P3DV5 (the bottom one in this case) to get hold of the correct version of the 172 for your sim.avaitorariana wrote: ↑06 Sep 2023, 11:19 The filename of the APPLICATION I downloaded is: C172_P3Dv1-3_Academic.
