Using Blender for Comanche MSFS

So normally i know LOD00 would be the correct model to use for painting in blender for msfs planes. but LOD03 appears to have the wings to be painted and LOD00 does not. im not sure if anyone uses blender for this im seeing people use photo shop and i dont know how to paint that way. Just wondering which LOD model to use or any suggestions thanks.
