I've been researching the "night is way too dark" issue in P3D v.5 on line and can't seem to find a solution. Actually from the real world standpoint the night is totally correct. It's just that in the sim shutting down the plane at night poses a real problem finding the batt switch for example in the totally dark pit after everything else has been checked off.
In the real plane I would have a flashlight but unfortunately in the sim I find myself groping around in the dark for battery switches.
Don't know if solving this is with the monitor or the Nvidia card settings or even if it CAN be solved.
I'd like to make the night a bit less dark........sort of like a moonlit night if possible with just enough residual light to be able to locate that last switch when shutting down.
Any ideas anyone?
PS; Just discovered there is a flashlight using the "\" key. That might solve the problem.

Yes!
There is a flashlight feature with P3Dv5.
Simply use the \ key above the enter key to turn on your flashlight!

At lorby-si.com there is an add on flashlight that works real well too. If you use TrackIR it follows your head movement so you can scan the whole instrument panel. Use hot keys to turn on/off. I haven’t tried the built in flashlight yet so I cannot compare.

Very cool! I was just thinking the other day how nice it would be if we had MSFS' flashlight in v5. Thanks for the heads up Dudley!

Thanks everybody. The flashlight is a good find. It returns things to normal for a night time shutdown.
