Flight1 updated the GTN today, so everything's back to normal for me.

Correction, not back to normal. Now I'm getting random kernelbase.dll errors before I even get a scenario set up. MSFS here I come.

Hiya,
patful wrote: 08 Jun 2020, 20:36 Major concern if you use the Flight1 GTN. It's a slideshow. Garmin updated their trainer, but Flight1 hasn't done so for the GTN yet. A2A, ASP4, ASCA, Orbx, PTA are fine. Everyone talked about a massive improvement in P3D performance, but I noticed none at all.
Was not aware it was a big update, until i said yes... Anyways, indeed Flight1 GTN's is now very sluggelish.

Hope they fix it soon!

Marcel

PS
Fix is indeed already there :-) Version 2.19 -> https://www.simforums.com/forums/flight ... 63831.html

After updated Windows 10, the fps on P3DV4.5 fall to 10... Display a bit shaky...
I then downloaded the Flight1 update. The result ? My GTN 750 does not work any more. "Database not found" and "TAWS failure".
Let's wait !

Did you also update the GTN trainer to 2.7.1.0?

Mine is still 1909 too. I believe it's a staggered rollout and we in the UK are probably low priority. No rush here as it sounds pretty hit-or-miss, again.

Microsoft says it's available to anyone running 1903 or 1909 and you manually check for updates. I'm going to wait for the update until it's forced, I believe.

Hiya,

Does anyone noticed any changes to there colours?

After the update, all colours in windows itself and also in P3D seems darker the before.

The update may have reinstalled the color profile for your monitor, see if anything has changed in the "Color management" panel.

This is non scientific non specific review. Since updating to 2004 I have experienced tiny irritating glitches have arisen. For instance, suddenly my mouse in P3Dv5 became a viewing tool. When I moved my mouse to click on a switch I found myself looking in all directions. Took some time to figure that one out. What was a very smooth experience became 'slow jittery'. Engine sound failed to make itself heard, another ruined flight! I was on the brink of rolling back to 1909 but I'll hang in there for a while longer.

Likewise I have had a very odd little problem.

I flew a flight yesterday and all was fine but at the end of the flight I got a notification that an update had downloaded and would I like to restart now - so I shut her all down and did the restart.

After restart I went to fly my Texan and loading stalled at 0%. I went through and turned all the addons off and added them back in one at a time - narrowed down to my Texan! WTF I thought. Ran the A2A update again just to be sure but no good. Finally tried to turn 'Airplane casts shadows on itself' off and everything works again!

Never seen that problem before - but the odd thing is that the shadows for my stock C172 (my default start up plane) worked just fine and caused no issue....

So, it still does not work.
I uninstalled all the Flight 1 and Garmin files still on the HD.
But when launching the Garmin Trainer Setup, it considers the databases are already installed.
But they are not. (I use "Everything", small utility to check all related files are no longer on disk).

I don't understand. Any suggestion welcomed...
(I posted on the Flight1 support forum, but no answer so far).

At some point over the past week the 2004 update is no longer ready to install on my PC so out of the woods for the time being. It appears that for P3Dv4.x users it is not a good update.

Cheers

All fine here, never had an issue, both desktop and laptop all running fine, all games running fine. NVid released some new drivers too prior to this for those that might be encountering issues as other parts of the system may out dated. Given P3Dv5 being later dx now, XP going Vulkan and brand new platforms coming that are just as new new new I would recommend everyone making sure there systems are all updated for correct use and running. 8)

thanks,

Just curious if build 204 is Still putting the hex on P3D v4.5 Users and Flight1 GTN? I was notified that it is available for downloading and installing. Also, what Nvidia driver are most users on now? Thanks for any information provided.
