Flight1 GTN 750 650 3D cockpit

Post by mudmuddy »

Hello, I own your Cessna 182, which is awesome. I just purchased Flight1's GTN750/650 combo because of its compatibility with you planes' virtual cockpits, but as it is, the unit does not appear there. I have done the A2A Aircraft Configuration tool, but it only goes as far as selecting Flight1, and no option appears to select GTN750 after hitting enter (as it should be according to forums).

Forums have mentioned that getting the updated version of the A2A plane has been a solution. The only update I found is is https://www.a2asimulations.com/download ... _04_19.zip, which I'm assuming is from April 2019, which is before I bought the plane.

What would be the fix for this problem?

Hi and welcome to the A2A forums.

So that we can help with your enquiry, please can you let us know which host sim you have the Cessna 182 installed in?

Thanks,
Nick

FSX SE. Sorry, I realized after I submitted that I hadn't mentioned.

Okay, thanks for confirming that. Yes, please run the Accu-Sim updater from the post you linked. This should give you the latest options in the Aircraft Configurator. Once you've selected the Flight1 GTN using this tool you should be good to go, but please let us know if you have any further issues as third-party GPS products tend to change quite frequently.

Cheers,

So I ran the updater and directed it to steam/steamapps/common/fsx and it when through a bunch of aircraft to detect, and when it got to the C182, it didn't detect it. So tried to direct it one further to the A2A file and no detection. Then directly into the C182 file, still no detection. Did get a message that even if the airplane was not detected, core files were changed. So I ran the airplane config on that chance, but the process was the same, where after selecting GPS Flight1, no further option of GTN750/650 was offered. Ran the FSX, no F1 GPS in 3d cockpit, still only 2D separate window.

Hello,

Do you have to manually select this path, or does the updater automatically detect it? If the updater isn't detecting the C182, it suggested the path in this dialog isn't correct. Normally this will be detected from the Windows registry, and by default would be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\

Thanks,

I just bought the Connie and did the update, and it detected both it and the c182. I did the A2A GPS configurator for both and the F1 GTN appear in both planes.

I don't know why it didn't detect the C182 the first time around. Might be my computer as I'm having clock issues.

Thanks for your time.

Resolved :)
