Hi everyone!
I´m newby in this forum but not in Accu-Sim.
Last January I bought a brand new C182 SKYLANE P3D ACADEMIC. It was really one of the best experiences I had in simulations.
Everything was running OK until last Friday. My computer failed and I´ve had to make a new P3D re-installation. A new clean installation.
I´ve installed A2A C182 again. I could choose my favourite texture, after that the loading runs as usual but when the load finished, the screen turned black and 6 or 7 seconds after, the simm turns off. I did some new installations after, but the same failure appears again and again.
This failure only happens with A2A C182.
Anyone else just have some failure like that???

Re: Re-Installation failure
Hello,
is this a new computer or just a new installation?
Which version of P3D are you installing is it the latest rendition of P3Dv4 or an earlier version? If an earlier version make sure you update to the latest from Lockheed.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Re-Installation failure
Hi, Lewis.
I´m a P3D V4.5 user and it´s just a re-installation due to a failure of the computer.
It was running OK since January until last friday.
May be some new update?

Re: Re-Installation failure
How does the new install run for you?
Are you making sure to run a new flight and not a saved flight and that the default flight is kept as default as possible?
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Re-Installation failure
I ´ve followed next steps:
- Start P3D.
- Select aircraft. A2A C182...
- Select airport (for testing, I select the deffault one, without any addon because ididn´t install any yet).
- OK. and start loading terrain, etc.
- When 100% loaded the screen bacomes black. Only appears the pointer and in the right upper part, the samall red text "Academic version"
- Seconds after, the Windows desktop is shown in my screen. P3D has disappeared.
I tried with deffault planes and there isn´t any issues.
Thanks,

Re: Re-Installation failure
Hi Mariner,
Just to help us understand the issue, is this a completely new installation on a new PC after your previous one failed, or is it on the same system?
Also, when you first launch P3D, which aircraft loads in the default scenario? (i.e. which one is shown revolving in the top left of the screen?)
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Re-Installation failure
Hi, Nick.
Sorry for no to be very clear.
It is the same computer. On Friday night, when I started P3D, one error was shown and it was not possible start the sim any more. P3D support recommended me a new re-installation.
I´ve uninstalled all the addons and aircrafts. After that I´ve uninstalled P3d and made a new clean P3D installation.
The first addon I´ve re-installed was Europe Mesh (the same that I had in the previous installation), Orbx Central and afer taht, A2A C182.
all the addons are the same and they was installed in the same secuency that I have done before.
When the sim starts, the default aircraft (LM F22) apperars, then I select A2A 182.
Thanks.

Re: Re-Installation failure
Okay, thanks for the additional info.
If you've reinstalled P3Dv4 and you're still seeing problems, I recommend you try double-clicking the "Delete Generated Files" shortcut which you'll find in the P3D root folder.
However, before you try this step, I suggest you try deleting this folder "Documents\A2A\FSX\Cessna182". You can also delete the correspond one for P3D if you wish, but it's more important to delete the FSX one. The files in this folder record the persistent state of the aircraft, so you may wish to back up before deleting.
Cheers,
Nick

Re: Re-Installation failure
Hello, Nick .
I solved my problem following the steps you told me. I´ve deleted FSX and P3D Files. As simple as that. Now, I can continue enjoying one of the best software made for the simmulation world.
That´s really succesful.
Thanks for your support and congratulations for your great work!!!
