P-47 for P3DV4

Post by Dogsbody55 »

Is it possible to get an update on the roll out of the P-47 for P3D V4, please?? The Razorback is one of my favourite planes from FSX and was the second purchase I made for that sim, after the Spitfire. These 2 planes are what finally dragged me away from FS9 and I am very much missing this wonderful creation in P3DV4.

Hoping it's further along than the Cub  which apparently is not yet in alpha.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for the update, Lewis. I just hope the P-47 doesn't get forgotten and will eventually be available for P3DV4. I am among those who have dropped FSX entirely.

Mike

I’m a bit ashamed to admit I just re-activated my Steam account and am seriously considering a very basic install of FSX just to accommodate the P-47 and the B-17, fully accu-simmed, of course. Just to see me through until the P3D versions are available!

Edit— maybe “ashamed” is unfair...I’m actually excited to visit these two old friends again. Maybe “worried” that they will always be trapped in an FSX world,

Since I switched to p3d my fsx rarely sees any play time especially with all the new features of p3d like rain effects. I do miss the p47 and b17 I’m hoping they eventually find their way to p3d

I can only hope that once the Cub has been released, then A2A will start work on the P-47. It's just not the same without AccuSim. An update from A2A on this would be great.

If the P-47 accusim isn't working yet with P3D, would it be viable or meaningful to use AccuFeel with the import? I'm not yet started into either FSX or P3D, so I'm not familiar with the way it operates, but I'm wondering that might be a way to jury rig a stopgap?

It might be duct taping chainsaws together too, but one doesn't always know until one asks...

Accufeel is (essentially) a "physics" enhancement for all aircraft used in FSX or P3D. It doesn't get into systems like AccuSim does for a specific aircraft does; it's more about how the aircraft feels and sounds. True Accusim provides systems modeling on a level comparable with DCS but includes persistent state of the aircraft and other innovative features including walk-around inspection and maintenence hangar.

DCS says their P-47D will be released soon. I'm looking forward to it, but I think the ultimate experience would be a DCS/A2A collaboration to Accusim a bubble top for Flight Simulator 2020... Oh, the possibilities...

Ditto!! I would have thought that once the first older Accusim product has been updated, most of the conversion issues would be known, so I'm really hoping that the good old Jug will be up and running in P3DV4 before this year's out.

I'd also like to add that I've noticed some complaint about the Cub conversion in that thread. As I understand it, all that was ever promised was the Cub converted to work in P3DV4 and that's what we've got and it's probably as much fun as ever (I have P3DV4.3). So I don't understand what the problem is with that plane. I mention all this because what I'm wanting here is exactly the same conversion as the Cub. So how about it, A2A? Please?

Thanks,
Mike

I feel your pain. I REALLY missed my P-40 after I went from FSX to P3D. A2A released the P-40 in P3D v4 and it's primo. Hopefully they'll get it together for the P-47.
