Vintage Planes Display at Tacoma Narrows Airport

Post by JJB17463rdBombGroup »

As I have been recovering as a heart patient, for exercise I have been riding a pretty neat electric motorized bike (a RadRover) I purchased used from a neighbor for $350 (what a deal).
I have been riding from my house across the Narrows Bridge to the Tacoma Narrows Airport lately on some trips.
That's a short trip by the way only 8.4 miles each way.
I love that electric bike one day I rode as far as 46 miles on it while pedaling with using the motor (it extends the range).

Anyway I saw an interesting article in my local paper

https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/loc ... 28740.html

If you live nearby you might want to check this Vintage Plane Display out.
It sounds interesting to me.

Too bad that I missed the Wings and Wheels show at the Tacoma Narrows Airport this year.
That's a much bigger local event.
Next year I'll ride there on the electric bike.

We're neighbors! I just moved to Gig Harbor at the end of June. I've been eating at "The Hub," but now I have another reason to hang around the airport. During the Wings and Wheels show, the planes would right over my house, it was awesome!

Very nice stuff guys! This area (PNW) of the US has to be a very exciting place to live with the presence of Boeing and all the other aviation attractions going on! I absolutely love this part of the country. I have ORBX FTX Global, FTX PNW, all the ORBX PNW Airports, and DD Seattle City X / DD Seattle Airports X just to dress the area up a bit! We use to do C-130 Flight Simulator Training at McCord AFB for many years. The training was a great excuse for me to visit my favorite part of the country!

Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down!

Hey that's cool. I always wondered about which A2A Simulations forum members lived close to me.
I am going there on the Grand Opening with a friend who is also interested.
A neighbor friend (the one who sold me the RadRover electric bike) can't go to the Grand Opening but I'll go with him to the Point Fosdick Antique Air Hanger on Saturday when he is off of work
For sure next year I will be at the Wings and Wheels show
