One more step:
Real Narco Marker beacon lights, the same model used in the A2A comanche.
Full operative: push to test, mechanical dimmer, only works with enough avionics voltage and circuit breaker dependent.

I have updated everything to prepar3d 4.1, and added the master avionics switch that was added some months ago in an update.

Re: Homemade Comanche cockpit.
I had rotary pots to Vent/Heat/Desfrot but..
Why not make them like the a2a comanche knobs?
Lets go!
Start with 3d design..
3d print, and shopping... with a total amount of... 15$
knobs are 1€ each http://www.leroymerlin.es/fp/16310350/p ... e-infantil
Start to join everything..
Looking good..
Pots.. wires..
A cover.. so it won't be any problem with dust in future.
I have only three knobs. Left one control Vent. This one open/close every vent knob (4 of them) in the simulator.
Testing..

Works perfect!
Now, Im using them as a TPM throttle quadrant, until I finish the real throttle quadrant I will use

Re: Homemade Comanche cockpit.
Ok, I have been a little busy, but some updates..
-I have been working with the radio stack. The gtn750 is almost finished. It is 100% already functional (knobs and touch)
-I have change the bendix audio monitor to a narco cp125, because it has exactly the same buttons/features that simulator cp136 has.
-New flap and suction gyro gauges.
-I have made the ka51b (100% functional). But it is posible a friend of mine can give me a real (not working) one. If this happens, I will mod and install the real one.
-I have updated the old ASI, with a new one with TAS knob/window, best scale, knots and mph... and far better looking. You can see the old one (left) and new one(right)
-I have made the physichal vm1000c engine monitor, with functional buttons, like real one.
-new RPM and Manifold steam gauges. Yes, needles are cool. I will install those despite having an engine monitor
I hope I can make the panel soon and start to join everything.
Everything seen in the photos is actually 100% working with the simulator.
This is not definitive. But the layout will be something like this:
I know the a2a comanche has something very special with its layout, and I love it. It is being a tough decision, but I will go with a more modern layout, to get used to a more standard cockpit.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Homemade Comanche cockpit.
Thanks Lewis.
Still some decisions to make, and some gauges to build, but I really need to see something finished.
I started this project 18 months ago and sometimes you need a.. cosmetic step, to keep motivation.
Not really a big step in development, but big in appearance
