109E4 Ground Handleing

Post by BM357_TinMan »

Howdy.

I was wondering if the ground handling of the 109 was going to get some attention.

According to the instruction manual/pilot handbook thing, the 109E4 was extremely tail heavy and required massive amounts of rudder input along with differential brakeing to get it to swing the tail one way or the other.

In FS2k4, the tail wags like CRAZY at the slightest rudder input. This makes it very difficult to make a decent take-off.

I was wondering if Shockwave knew about this, and if they think that it is a problem that needs/will be fixed?

I think that FS2k4 has a "rudder on the ground tail wagging" problem incoded into it. Has anybody tried to fly the Piper cub that comes with the sim, talk about massive tail wagging at the slightest input.

Anyway, let me know devs if you could.

Thanks

Thanks, that helped out quite a bit.

It seems like it might still be a little bit too "waggy" but it is much improved.

ICDP,

I had the same handling problems with my Bf109 and your fix concerning the Relevant Contact Points works great. Thanks for getting the word out.
