Be patient, the team is working, and all your aircrafts will be adapt to v4.
Very good, thank you.

I only asked because I get intermittent and sporadic emails from this forum.
Do you know which thread it ill be announced in when they're ready?

Thanks for your quick reply, Lewis
Unfortunately, when I download from my account, I get the same file as the one, which I already have on my computer. This is definitely not the newest version of your product. I get a C172_FSX_v.2.0.EXE which is dated 2014.

The filename is the same, extract it and you should have the V4 installer.

Hey Karsten, The C172 in question should be C172_P3D_v2 and not the FSX version as they are indeed separate versions. The update to P3Dv4 is for existing P3D customers. If you have indeed purchased the P3D version, insure you are downloading the proper zip file and you will see two installers, one for P3Dv1,2,3 and an additional one for P3Dv4

I purchased the C172 because I missed the SKylane 182. Is a update coming soon for this plane.

I read some of the post, I see it will come soon. Miss the aircraft but the 172 will do for now

We put new installers into the A2A store for the Accu-Sim C172 Academic and Professional, that support installing into custom directories. These new installers also include an uninstaller.

All downloads in our store have been reset, so anyone can freely just log in and grab the updated files.
(NOTE that the ZIP download has the same name but within that zip there are two independent P3D installers, one for v1-3, and another for the 64 bit v4).

Please let us know if there are any issues as we still want to be sure these installers are giving our customers 100% of what they need, before we start rolling out the rest of our Prepar3D fleet.

Scott,

Which aircraft are included?

C182? Cherokee? Comanche? J3?

The C172 only. I think what he meant by the plural is the C172 installers for Academic, Professional, and Commercial. Is why he said they wanted to check and make sure that is all good before unleashing the hounds with more of them. The J3 also is a ways off. We won't see the FSX only birds until after the 172, Cherokee, 182, Comanche, T-6, and Connie have made it over to v4.

Mr. Scott, it worked perfectly!!! Nice work! Thanks for this update, really needed for me due lack of SSD space.

This is for the Accu-Sim C172 Professional and Academic. I just updated my post to reflect this.

Scott,

I installed with the C172 with the new installer. The install seems to be fine but the plane has an error in the right wing light. See circled area in the images. This is in v4 with no shader changes. I have not uninstalled the new v4 version and installed the one released originally to see if there is a difference, maybe something different between the planes themselves.

I uninstalled the new one and installed the original release of the C172 for v4 and it has the same issue as shown in the images.

I'm having a hard time trying to understand what is going on with this installing thing. What is the objection to having aircraft in the er..Airplanes folder and the effects in, oh I don't know, how about Effects etc. etc? I tried to install it there, i.e. into the P3Dv4 folder and no 172s showed up! There they were in their own little A2A folder. There's no telling where this will end, different devs putting their stuff all over the drive!
Jeez!
Remember a simpler age when you installed an airplane into FSX of even P3Dv3?

Starting with 3.4 and continuing in 4.0 having the addons outside the sim allows the sim to be re-installed easier. Any addons in the correct directory tree will be queued on first run of the sim. It asks you you want to active the addons in the sim. Much easier than re-installing it all.
