Hey guys! I am new to the forums and fairly new to flight sims. I recently purchased the 182 and am starting a "Round the World" trip that I will break up into small sections over the next several months. I would love for someone to design something unique for me using ideas from the images I have below. That is if anyone has time and willing to do it. Not sure how you fellas operate. I just know I am not capable of doing it and would VERY grateful! If this is not how this works, please tell me! Ha. I do not want to step on any toes.

I am making a styled inside-and-out Elsa (Disney Frozen) version for my daughter of the Cessna Skylane 182. I have a limited photoshop editing program (Elements). Photoshop Elements cannot unlock LOCKED layered images (such as the one with the Cessna file I want to edit), the interior file "C182_C2_t.dds". I want to edit the panel behind the instruments (inserting a different splash background), but with the file locked, I am having a hard time with it. Can anyone unlock it and send it to me?

I would love to attach pictures, but it says "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached". Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello - have you seen this thread in the 'Repainters' forum? It gives some tips on free software which can be used to open and edit .dds files. (They're compressed rather than "locked", and specialised software or plug-ins are needed to open them, for example the free "DXTBmp" as mentioned in the thread.)

There are some tips on adding images to posts here. As with most internet forums, you need to host them elsewhere and post/embed links.

Cheers,
Nick

Request:

Hey guys!

I had tried to do two repaints for the C172R and the C182T (C172R in a seperate post), and failed both.
There´s no talent whatsoever on this respect...

The Skylane I´m talking about is in fact a 1977 C182P. My club purchased it recently to bolster up our fleet and provide an A/C for longer trips with a higher payload.

Could one of our repainters please do me a huge favor and paint the C182P of our club for me?
Just pm me for the logo and the flag.
There is just this one picture, but I can bring some more, if I have the sense to take some at the airport :) .
Man, she looks like she was serving in a sheriff´s department once.

Thank you in advance! :D
Cheers,
Marco

Looks like like a lovely paint. My could-somebody-please-paint-this list is pretty long. Please pm me and I'll send you my email and I can see what I can do.

As I a still have real job I can only do this in my spare time.

Cheers
Eberhard

I'd love to do this paint. But as you correctly said I can also only find this one picture. I definitely need more to get this paint right. Especially of the tail.
Once you provided me with some photos I can go for it.

Nice paints, Ebo. Thanks. People keep asking if there's a limit to the number of repaints in FSX. I think the rate you're gong with these quality paints, you may well help us all answer that question!!!

Thanks for all your work,
Mike

Hey Ebo,

of course. (Sorry, had been on the road for a couple of weeks...)
Are the other pictures enough?

I´m at the the airport next Monday, and I try to get some recent pictures (with club-logo and all).

Grüße!
Cheers,
Marco
