I think this is the first RAF paint on the thread... It's actually a recreation of one that turns out to belong to The Fighter Collection at Duxford. It took me quite a bit of digging to find that out, though, as most people don't seem to credit their photos of it. :(

Anyway...

Ian,

Thanks ever so much for doing this one! I have been hoping it appear... being a volunteer at Duxford it will be brilliant to be able to fly this! Very good repaint too, as always!

Ian, I can't help but feel that I've seen that repaint before. Oh yes I remember now, I flew her yesterday! Great repaint.

Hi,

Each time I log in I'm amazed how much new repaints there are available for the six.
You all do a outstanding job and I would like to thank all painters.
Being from the Netherlands I can't wait for a Dutch paint.

Again thanks !!!

Regards,

Ferry

Soon!
Have you got SPENCE or HONDO versions in the paint shop?

Many may fly and some are rewarded
handsomely, but the wings of gold of a
United States Naval Aviator mean more
than flying. It is dearly bought, requires
sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

Afraid don't have for the Swedish examples, but presume they would be translations of the Canadian Text. As for the American machines, the only references they have been documented is this diagram from one of the manuals and a few pages on paint specifications:

The ones for the T-6G I have already posted on the forum.

Hope this helps,

WIP
N9883C is getting close to completion.
Might consider to have 2 versions with and without the "orange" replaced part on the L wing wheel hub.
I don't really know how the N9883C looks exactly today but the orange part is a nice detail.
Now I will add the famous decal and look for what stencil is on the frame. Not sure I have seen any so far on the reference pictures I have.

Hey, that's a nice one, Mango! Maybe toy a bit with the spec to give it a bit more metallic sheen?
