dggoofy -

Thanks very much. Weathering makes it look real. I flew this aircraft from a small airstrip in Michigan many years ago. The field was surrounded by tall cornfields in the late summer and it was almost a barnstorming experience. Flying with a bird-cage canopy, that big radial engine, and a stick-and-rudder is about as pure a flying experience you can have (at least for me) Thanks again!

Totally fictitious tail number (my Pa home zip code) but reminiscent of those that flew out of Moon Twp (now KPIT) in the 50's.

Any chance you could make a version of this marked TA-418? A company called North American Top Gun used an aircraft with the same markings but as TA-418. Thanks.
No problem, I will change it to 418... like this ?

But this is an weathered version. As I can imagine, the company's one is brand new looking...

Cheers

:D :D :D Very cool, that's the exact aircraft I got my ride in!!! It was in nice shape but there was definitely some wear and tear.
Thanks so much,
Steve

Looks great but the link is for a Photobucket image instead of a download. Looking forward to it.

I'm working on another yellow weathered texture. This time on an USAF. Will add some more stratches before release.

Here's a shot for reference on the size of the markings on 418 if it helps:

And here we go - the Warbird Adventures trio. I uploaded N455WA (USAF version) last night, but on doing the other two, realized I had some tweaks to make, so if you downloaded it already, might be a good idea to do it again. Otherwise, and without further ado, here they are:

USAF (N455WA) Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cottqpzoo9dtp ... A.zip?dl=0

Navy (N451WA) Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/twcp2m5qggvwy ... A.zip?dl=0

Image

Marines (N452WA) Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5u79leytxovr2 ... A.zip?dl=0

Enjoy, and happy flying!

Ok Guys,

The TA-418 is ready for take-off. 2 sets of textures : weathered and restaured. Your choice.

Happy landings!

And the dropbox link : https://www.dropbox.com/s/93qt2xhi0zs6o ... 8.zip?dl=0

Jon

Nice job on the Kissimmee series.

BTW they had(have) their number 3 version in an ARMY scheme.

Many may fly and some are rewarded
handsomely, but the wings of gold of a
United States Naval Aviator mean more
than flying. It is dearly bought, requires
sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

Actually there is a good level of repainters. I have no time to fly all aircrafts. :P
