Glad you got it to work! Yeah, unfortunately, because I don't have P3D, I'm not familiar with its file structure to know how to set up the paint properly. In any event, glad you're enjoying it!mylee2 wrote:USAF ver. is it going to be updated for Preparv3?
P.S. I got it to work. I love it (retired AF).

Hi Jon
The texture loads fine but it would knock out my GTN 750 on all my 182T aircraft. I copied one of the textures, renamed it USAF and copied the USAF texture over it. Now everything works fine.

Re: Finished Paints and Paintkit
Ahh - probably something to do with the panel/interior textures I customized for it then. Thanks for the tip!

Thats legit! Great job.
Re: Finished Paints and Paintkit
Thanks guys. Did it in between projects. Still struggling with my next repaint idea.
Re: Finished Paints and Paintkit
Just lots of not fully developed ideas and not a clear focus yet on which way I want to go. Once I get a mental picture of what I want it to look like, the rest is "easy" (just the hard work of making it look like I imagine)
Thanks a lot Jon K.

With permission of the real bird's owner [Forum member "motoadve"] here is TI-ABE (currently flying in Northwestern U.S., and Canadian airspace).
2 Blade & 3 Blade MT Prop (Faux)
And stainless steel Dzus Fasteners
DOWNLOAD HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0x3bw ... TI-ABE.zip
Not shown in the photos is what appears to be de-icer boots on the horizontal stabilizer. When questioned, motoadve advised me that it was a mylar cover over the leading edges to prevent rock damage. He also stated that he does not own wheel pants for TI-ABE, but they are available in somewhat matching paint scheme here. Having watched some of motoadve's real life flights onto gravel bars, it is easy to understand the 'no wheel pants' and the mylar leading edge protection. Great landings and take-offs, but stones and sand blasting could really mess up his new paint job. Also missing is the registration number under the wing. It is there in the file, just not in the photo. Sorry, but I have just been released from the hospital and not up to re-shooting the photos.
A replacement, black panel with tan trim is in the works to replicate the actual panel, as close as possible. Motoadve is going to supply me with some photos of the decals on his panel, to enable them to be more correct on the replacement panel.
A special thanks to 'motoadve' for his photos and technical information in doing this paint job.

Great paint Al! Love the MT propeller on the C182. Gives it a "fresh" look!
