Nose Gear Landing

Post by Al FR-153 »

Some time back (couldn't find it with a simple search) there were comments about landing the 377 on the nose gear first (before the mains). Well, today, this arrived from another group. I am not saying is is correct, only that in real life, things happen.

My personal view....This crew should be thankful for good engineering.

Any way to separate whatever photo that is out of Facebook? Speaking as someone who doesn't have an account.

I guess all I can say, not being able to see the photo is that the 377 has the "tendancy" to land on it the nose wheel first and there are some films and photos that appear to show that happening! :)

First....could not find this elsewhere.

SECOND..... It is a fake. Well, actually, it is Flight Sim, not real life. If you look at the scenery objects, they appear to be FSX.

Not my joke JP..... I actually received this as a real life flight and only when looking at it closely did I discover that it was an FSX type flight. The trees gave it away.

Plus the red box with the white text in the lower left corner tipped me off. Still a pretty cool shot.

Lol nice video. I can't think of any manufacturer that encourages landing on the nose gear first in a tricycle configuration landing gear. It's strictly taboo, like marrying your sister.

That was a funny video. Even if it is made on a simulator game, which it is possible to see when you see the ground. The first time I saw it I also thought it was in real life, but I took a second look cause the airport looked so familiar and then I discovered it was a simulator, it is not fake in my opinion if it is not posted as being from real world. Now I can not read the comments under the video(I do not understand that Language). And also, it could have been from a real flying, strange things happens all the time.

But any way a funny video.

Ha! When I was a student pilot, my instructor would have told me that I made landings like that all the time.
