A2A P-47D/M/N "Bubble Top"

Post by RadarRyder »

Folks,
Where can I get the A2A P-47D/M/N Models w/ "Bubble Top" canopy? I have read through some of the forums and saw that it can be ported to FSX by copying and pasting some texture files into it. However I am unable to find this P-47D with the "Bubble Top", and it is my favorite model!! Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated!!

A2A P-47D/M/N "Bubble Top"

Hi RR,

The A2A model is a D-20 RA, 22-RE and 23-RA. I've been through these forums quite a lot over the last few years and don't ever recall someone saying they had modified the texture to a Bubble Top! I could be wrong. But I don't think that information can be found in this forum. Maybe someone here can point you to the forum in which this was done. Good luck!

Yeh, sorry RR, your post threw me a bit! Here's the link to the FS2004 P-47 forum...I think you'll find your info there: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=18

And the link to the store to purchase the FS2004 P-47: https://a2asimulations.com/store/index. ... 0a6531d11e

You'll need a copy of FS2004 to install the Thunderbolt pack into first. I don't think there is any other way to install those planes to FSX except copy/paste from FS2004.

OK,
Thanks guys.........the FS2004 P-47 shows screen shots of the "Bubble Canopy". It also has the razor-back version but It appears that it also comes with the "Bubble Canopy" version. I found it on the site for $19.99. I don't think it's available anywhere else. I shall purshase it in the near future then follow the port over instructions I saw on the forums........hope it works!! Thanks again!!

(WOP P-47......and it appears to be the M or N model)
