Accu-sim Cherokee enters Beta testing

Post by Lewis - A2A »

Hello Everyone,

We are happy to announce that a few days ago the highly anticipated Accu-sim Cherokee entered the Beta testing phase. We've worked hard improving virtually every aspect of development, and right out of the gates I wanted to share a post from one our our chief pilots, Oskar (lonewulf47).
lonewulf47 wrote:I made a few spot tests on cruise settings derived from the manual graphics. The results are promising, not to say flawless.
Conditions: 2400 lbs, naked, ISA weather, no wind, KTAS measured by GPS

ALT ft--------% PWR-------KTAS Manual-------KTAS actual

4000------------70------------116----------------117
4000------------65------------112----------------113
4000------------60------------108----------------108

6000------------70------------117----------------117
6000------------65------------114----------------114
6000------------60------------109----------------109

8000------------70------------119----------------118
8000------------65------------115----------------113
8000------------60------------111----------------109

IMHO these values are so close to the original, that they are far within tolerance. It must also be noted, that the manual gives only calculated values. Bloody well done, Scott 8) :D !
Its also worth noting here that we don't use any lookup tables as Accu-sim is pure true simulation with the whole dynamics of each system interacting with each other and world around it to continue bringing you never before seen realism in flight simulation.

And so the 172 chaps don't get left behind with the release of the Accu-sim Cherokee will come an all new Accu-sim core update that will also bring some new updates to the C172 but more on that later.

many thanks,

Wow fantastic news !

Any hints of additional features to look forward to, ie working circuit breakers etc.

Well done to the A2A team for another potential best seller and raising the bar again in our hobby.

All the best

Chris

I wouldn't get too excited just yet, I think they made the beta announcement for the Skyhawk many months before it released.

Still, this is great news :)

Be patient! Let the anticipation build.
Bugging the Dev's for info all the time won't bring the release date any closer.
