Seen in Essex!

Post by Ron Attwood »

My first thoughts on seeing this aircraft was "Couldn't they decide what shade of blue to use?" and "Jeez! Those stripes hurt my eyes!" But as it comes from just up the road from where I live I reckoned it would be churlish not to paint it.
Funnily enough, the more I worked on it the more it grew on me. It's different anyway.

I've just noticed the Thread title! I know the county I live in has the reputation of being somewhat low rent and naff, but to be censored? Come on!

Try living in the town with the postcodes DN15-17 and the 01724 dialling code in North Lincolnshire.

It's astonishing how many places still filter out the birthplace of golfer Tony Jacklin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Jacklin). :(

Sunny scunny!

And the 'orange' county sound be a swear word Ron hehe.

Nice repaint by the way and yes those stripes are very confusing, just like the bright orange girls in Ess3x. Maybe too much sunny D to drink down there?

Ps,
Why do these threads always go this way when more than one English man with a black adder sense of humour is posting.

Hey! When did someone remove Scunthorpe from the blocked words list? It was on it last time I tried to write the dratted place! ;)

Anyone for a coffee? Of course it's actually mud and don't ask what the milk is.

Great paint there Ron. Lol speaking of dirty English town names. I get a chuckle when some friends of mine say they are from Cockermouth. Tho I believe from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that 'Belgium' is the dirtiest word in the galaxy.
