I have just lost an entire 500Gb disk full of stuff including all my BoB stuff and a lot of personal stuff(this was my backup disk) to say I am not happy would be an understatement.
If anyone has a broken 500GB seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3500630AS I would be interestied in buying the PCB from you as this is what has broken on mine.
But anyway. Does anyone have a link to the Rowan editing tools?
cheers

I am sorry to hear about your data loss. I do not have the Rowan tools links but maybe some of the other guys will be able to help you.

soupy,
Welcome back.
The only original rowan Tools we have been using is the BFIELDS and terrain editing mtt2 stuff, which only a few BDG guys understand It is at the Beta Testers forum.
Not sure which tools you require.
If you've lost your Radio mods, they still are floating around. I have your LW Radio, but not the RAF Radio mod, here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/294405365/S ... _Radio.zip
There is a flight sim website that hosts your RAF Radio mod. Can't recall where, though.

Cheers stickman, It's nice to be back.
Thanks for the link and yes I was about to post if anyone had a link to my radio sounds.
If I remember correctly there was a pack of tool released by rowan that had the mtt2 , chattool and 1 or 2 others in it. that is what I am looking for.
So if anyone has a link to my radio sounds it would be great

Re: anyone got a link to the original Rowan tools?
There used to be, but it went offline, and when last I looked it had reappeared as a bare little il-2 fan forum with no file downloads. Anyway, I have the RAF stuff here: http://www3.telus.net/v1ncent/bob/Soupdragons-RAF.rar
I also have the Rowan Chattool: http://www3.telus.net/v1ncent/bob/CHATTOOL.ZIP
I also have mtt2, which should accompany my terrain tutorial here: http://www3.telus.net/v1ncent/bob/BoB-T ... rialV2.zip
I have a few more things but no room to host them. I never had the complete toolset from SimHQ... speaking of which, they keep saying they're going to bring back their download section, they have all the content still packed away somewhere, but last I looked it still hadn't happened.

Hello soupdragon,
I am sorry to read about your damaged disc and I hope that you will be able to retrieve all your data. I am afraid that I cannot help you with the circuitry (incidentally, I bought exactly the same model of disc more than two years ago, but returned it the next day due to excessive noise it was producing), but the editing tools are still available at
http://www.simhq.net/downloads/air_comb ... /tools.zip.
I have more files related to Battle of Britain II, Rowan's Battle of Britain, MiG Alley and even Flying Corps Gold stored locally, so if you need something else, feel free to ask.
Respectfully,
Thingol

Woah, diabolical! How do you find a listing for that stuff? I can't find anything on the SimHQ web pages to indicate that that file was available.Thingol wrote: the editing tools are still available at

...Oh, my: enter http://www.simhq.net/downloads/air_comb ... f_britain/ and you get a listing, and look at what's there!

Hello PV,
the last time I was searching for some related files myself, there was a single download available at SimHQ (a patch for Il-2, I believe). I simply deduced the URL I needed from the one available. The listing of directories was not even permitted then.
I suppose that most of the files once hosted at SimHQ are still there, but lack accompanying web pages.
