It's a form of language used by 'youth' today in England. I find it dreadful, but then I am not one of them

What's so clever about these sketches it is that they have applied it to about the most conservative and traditional form of the English language- RAF fighter pilots in the Second World war.
They have also applied the lack of respect for authority and blame culture that is more prevalent today (it seems).

In truth the Brylcream boys were not all upper class, they were fairly mixed in accent (though not the commissioned officers) but that image is the typical perception.


I think my favourite (other than the one with them mocking the Hurricane) is where the Germans are interrogating them. Hilarious.

Hahaha I loved this skit! Where can we find more? I first found out about Mitchell and Webb a few months ago by running across "Peep Show" on Google. Ordered the DVD's, have been in love ever since. Amazing!!!! I wish the states had television as brilliant as you do across the pond
