I have pics I've taken of the P-51 "Never Miss" which she looks basically dark drab green, and others in different light where she is clearly quite brown. I'd have to double check the years in which the pics were taken, in case she got a fresh coat of paint one winter, but all of them were taken within the last 3 years or so. I think there is a very fine line between some dark drab greens and browns, especially when various lights hit the paint.

Missed this post, I've been plunged into the 1980's and life without internet thanks to BT, Open Reach or one other of that group of messed up companies. Apparently it will take up to 10 days to reconnect me. Anyways, rather busy with work so productivity is low at the moment. Hopefully I'll get some work done this weekend on them if I don't get called into work.

Ahhh I think we have all been there, I once was was without hardwire into the grid for 3 months, luckily BT Openzone WIFI spot was near the house and my Mobile contract allows hot spots.

In the local library today, I wonder how long I can leach off their free wifi

The mobile is turned off and having no phone working at home at the moment means no work call out today at least :D

Hopefully the library wont mind me working on repaints lol. Not exactly my ideal Saturday but never mind.

The specific shades of OD and Neutral Gray paint may have been very close as that used on the old "Moose/Candyman" paint scheme that the restored "Ferocious Frankie" had throughout the 80's/90's.

Here are some more photos - note how the olive drab appears different in different film:

Thanks for linking all those pics, some how my original searches couldn't find Suzy, she's now on my to-do list.

I just now need to decide on a colour for OD and stick to it...

Edit: Which will be ANA 504 or Federal Standard 14087.

The fruits of a days labour, quite a few funny looks and one telling off for starting FSX up on my laptop with the sound on

Unfortunately FSX wasn't playing ball and crashing every time I loaded a flight so just preview shots from the details screen. Hopefully I'll get better shots uploaded from my FSX rig soon.

EDIT:
Found a hotspot to abuse for a bit this evening so here's some better screen shots done on my FSX rig. Will upload the files on Monday at work as I can't see my broadband being fixed before then.
