P-51 Start Up Issue

Hi all,

I have just got back into flying the P-51 Civilian Mustang and noticed a strange issue when starting the aircraft up. When I click the starter switch instead of slowly spinning the blades so I can then turn the ignition to on it just starts the engine and automatically turns the ignition key to both. I have updated to the latest Accusim update, but I must be missing something.

Hi Adam,

Please can you let us know which host sim it is you're using here.

Also, when you first launch the sim, which aircraft loads with your default flight?

Finally, are you using mouse clicks in the virtual cockpit to manipulate the switches and so on, or do you have any hardware shortcuts assigned for things like the starter switch?

Hi Nick,

I am using FSX Steam Edition. When the Sim loads up it loads the AirCreation Trike Ultralight as the default flight/aircraft.

I am using mouse clicks to manipulate all the main switches in the cockpit, e.g. starter switch, magnetos etc.

Please can you just confirm if you've installed the latest Accu-Sim update available here since installing the P-51? If not, please can you give it a try.

Yes all updated to the latest Accusim Update after I installed the P-51, still getting the same issue.

Okay, thanks Adam.

This seems to be a pretty unique issue - I don't think I can recall anything similar being described before.

In case any of the *.dat files for the P-51 have become corrupted, please can you try backing up and then deleting the contents of the "Documents\A2A\FSX\P51civ" folder.

If this doesn't address the issue, could you let us know which other add-ons you're running alongside the P-51?
