Ok, time for a first report after 2 hours flying timeÃ¢â‚¬Â¦ Good news, I did not crash. But, the thing is I feel like it was the first time I flewÃ¢â‚¬Â¦ Taking off is ok, not very clean as the aircraft tends to live its own life, but with some rudder correction (and breaksÃ¢â‚¬Â¦), it flies. Once airborne, it is still a matter of trim correction to keep the level, and the engine management is a bit demanding.
The worse is to come, landing. This aircraft is fast and losing speed is not easy, not to mention once slowed down, keeping her at the right approach speed on the right slope is a real task. Ok, I managed to bring her back on the ground in one piece..."posÃƒÂ© pas cassÃƒÂ©" as we say here, but there is obviously room for improvement.
Kudos to A2A, although I never flew a P51 of course, the flight modeling is second to none.
