Accu-Sim P-51 Mustang Familiarization Video

Post by Scott - A2A »

Here is a familiarization video to help our new Mustang pilots be better prepared for their first flight.

NOTE:
Be sure to view this in hi-def.

If in doubt, once you start playing the video, a little gear appears at the bottom. Click on it and choose 720p HD. You can also full screen the video after, giving a pretty nice look at the aircraft.

Thank you for this great video Scott. Really looking foward to flying this gem of A2A. Thank you and your team for all of your hard work.

It is very interesting that the P-51 is more automated yet more complex, especially in comparison to the P-40.

Thanks for this video Scott. Looks and sounds really amazing. Especially the high speed low level pass on the airfield. You can hear that whistling sound... Awesome!

Looking great, but I'm a bit disappointed that although you seem to include an Iwo Jima paint, it is still a normal D model, so without the additional antennas and direction finder in the cockpit. Or will there be another Iwo model too?
But not to worry, I'll buy it anyway!

Scott I do have one question. Fantastic video, but I noticed when you landed and the weight settled on the wheels around the 24 minute mark that all of the temperature gauges seem to have pegged out at their lowest values? I would ask if it was a glitch, but it seems they almost did it on purpose. So just wondering if this is a design feature, or if maybe it was a video accident like the running out of fuel? Cannot wait to get my hands on her though. This looks like another winner. Especially with the structural damage? Guess I can no longer be doing crazy things with the airframe in flight.

Any possibiltiy of a downloadable version of this? YouTube is usually frustratingly choppy for me. I've already spent almost an hour watching just the first twelve minutes of this video.

Skycat use KeepVid, just copy the Youtube link into the window, and chose quality, and it will allow you to download the whole video as a file.

Drool... I really enjoy these videos and love the way each one of these goes deep into the guts of the plane and accusim. A lot of care goes into making these for the community and customers and it shows. Can't wait for the release. That flyby with that distinct whistle put a huge grin on my face.

Sharp eye. Accident again for Scott forgot to turn on the battery. The generator is productive above 1500 RPM. When you idle below, you lose the electric power.
