Nick,
the path that I chose after the CTD and the re-install of P3D and A2A aircraft, is:
F:/Aircraft/A2A/ (see also the pics attached!)
Thedocuments of the a/c state are in the standard folder C:/user/username/documents/A2A/FSX (see attached pics).
The difference, as I wrote in my previous post, is that the Bonanza (and as I know from the installation that was crashed by the Spit) the other A2A aircrafts‘ state documents are present while the Spit has no documents for its state.
Hope this helps…
Volker

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Thanks for the screenshots Volker, there's no apparent problem with the structure of the folders you've shown other than the lack of files being written to the Spitfire's folder in the Documents directory.
Please can you check the version of the installed Spitfire in the "Apps & Features" list in Windows Settings. It should show version 21.1.30.0.
Best regards,
Nick

Hi Volker,
Apologies for the delayed response. I've been at sea with the day job for the last couple of days but will get back to you as soon as I can.

Hey Volker,
just to get a little more info whilst we wait for Nicks expertise in his area, can I ask what Brand Anti-virus or Anti-malware you are using. We tend to ask this because some have been known to cause issues not just with installs of software but also the running of software being prevented of writing files.
I've used Bitdefender and without exceptions of the files and or folders that just stops so much from running.
thanks
Lewis

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick,
I envy you: I was an amateur sailor for more than 30 years in the Baltic, beginning in 1975! In 1976, we (our crew) were at the US BiCentennial in New York. My last cruise went along the coast of Germany and Poland from Kiel to Gdansk. We are still friends…
Lewis,
I do not use any separate anti virus programme, I use the built-in Windows Defender. I have had no problems at all on my flight sim PC with AV software.
It is quite baffling to me that only the Spitfire is not working properly, and all the other A2A aircraft work fine. (I just took a trip over northern Germany in the Bonanza.)
Let me know what else I can do to help!

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Hello Volker,
Apologies for the slow reply, but I'm back home now. I work on a small survey vessel (North Sea coast) and it's not a very glamorous lifestyle, but there is indeed something about being at sea which gets into the blood!
Anyway, I've tried reproducing your issue by manually removing a few components from my own Spit installation, but I can't make it fail without deleting files which are essential to the other Accu-Sim planes which you have no trouble with.
Assuming this problem is still ongoing, could you share the error log for one of the CTD? you should be able to find these using the Windows Reliability Monitor. If you could copy and paste the contents of one of these reports, it may give us a better idea of what's going on with your system.
Failing that, I think I'd probably just recommend an uninstall and reinstall of the Spit. The main thing that worries me is that you mentioned in your first post deleting registry entries which we'd very seldom recommend except as a last resort.
Thanks,
Nick

Nick,
if I understand you right, I will have to try installing the Spitfire anew; if it does produce a CTD again, lcate the Reliability Monitor, find the date and time with the accompanying error messages, copy them and send them to you.
Correct?
Volker
(I remember a memorable Channel crossing where we sailed close to the wind, made whopping 7 knots… and kept haveinga certain lighthouse at the same sight, i.e. made no headway over ground… We gave up after 5 hours and went to Holland…)

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick,
if I understand you aright, you want me to:
Install the Spit again,
see if it makes the sim CTD,
locate the Reliability Monitor and the entries for the time of the installation/trial run,
copy those and post them in the forum.
Correct?
Thanks again!

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Hi Volker,
That's right: start with an uninstall and reinstall (I recommend you restart your PC between each) and if the problem persists after you've done this, please can you post the contents of the error log. You can find this either from the reliability monitor or the Windows event log; both should give much the same info.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Nick,
it becomes curioser and curioser:
I could de-and re-install (after restart Windows) the Spit. With „default“ settings profile, I could load the Spit, start engine,…
As soon as I changed to another profile, P3D crashed. The profile has graphics settings for my 49“ Monitor (5400 X 1440) that works fine with the other A2A aircraft. I can send screenshots of the settings if you want.
I had the Reliability Monitor (RM) running, here are the screenshots: That‘s it. If you want the RM error file, let me know where to find it, please; I could not locate it.

Nick,
I found the event manager; this is what it had to say about the error: I hope it helps; I could not find any useful info in it…

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Additional info:
I tested the settings,
a. Custom with which the Spit did work;
b. changed texture resolution from 1024 x 1024 to 4096 X 4096: Spit o.k.
c. changed: „Motion Blur“ ON: CTD !
Does that help?

Re: Accu-Feel V 2.2 P3D V5
Hi Volker,
Thanks for trying all that. The event log is certainly showing that it's not the A2A_Accusim.dll which is involved which lets us rule that out. Based on your last post above, I tried enabling motion blur with my Spit installation, but no CTD. However, I can't actually see any motion blur when moving the view direction quickly, so I'm not convinced the effect is actually properly enabled with my installation. Do you see a noticeable motion blur when you have this box ticked?
Unfortunately my monitor only has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200, but even with the highest level of SSAA (effectively upscaling the resolution) I'm not able to reproduce the issue. Do you have any modification to P3D shaders installed at all, or any other mods that may affect rendering in the sim?
Thanks,
Nick
P.S. For what it's worth, looks like you're not the only one to have encountered this issue, but it's a different add-on which is mentioned in this topic on the P3D forum.
