Cannot map button to Hydraulic Pump

Post by Dreamsofwings »

Bit of a mystery this one!
Not flown the P40 for a while but when I originally set it up I had a button on my warthog assigned to the hydraulic pump via the input configurator and it worked a treat.
Since then I had assigned that same button in FSUIPC to manual pump for use in the Mk1 Spit.
Coming back to the P40 my hydraulic pump button wasn't working so I removed the reference to the button in fsuipc and reset it in the P40 configurator however it is still not operating. Any ideas anyone?
It is the only item I have being governed by the Input Configurator.
Many thanks.

Update...mapped more keys and not working
Also tried mapping keys in the P-51 configurator and not working for that aircraft either.
Everything else in my A2A aircraft seems to work fine but the Input Configurators aren't talking to the sim it would seem.

Have also just now reinstalled the P-40 but issue is still there.
Does the configurator only work if controllers are enabled in P3D? I have them disabled I P3D and am using FSUIPC

Hi.
Do you use win 10 and has it been updated recently, as it may have deleted the simconnect that A2A use and put a superceeded one in its place.

Hi Alan,

I do have Win 10. I just reinstalled the P-40 to see if that would put everything back in its place but no luck I am afraid.

Hi Rob,

Are controllers enabled in your P3Dv4 installation? (i.e with the tick-box at the bottom of 'Options' → 'Other'?)

They need to be to use the input configurator, but sometimes FSUIPC users will untick this option rather than deleting individual axes in the sim.

Thanks,
Nick

Hey Nick,

Yes I have them disabled in P3D because I am using FSUIPC. That's a pity.
Thanks for coming back so quickly on it.

I guess to join it all up I need to set the configurator to a keyboard key and then set the button in FSUIPC to that keyboard key.

Ah, okey doke - thought that may be the case.

I use FSUIPC too, but I keep the checkbox ticked and just delete the individual axis assignment in the P3D control settings. However, I guess you could do it the way you describe instead.

Cheers,
