I have not flown the P-40 for awhile yet when I tried to fly it was going good until after take off and the landing gear would not retract fully. And when i tried to lower the gear it would not move at all. I followed the clipboard procedure to preflight start taxi and take off and I dont think i missed any steps any suggestions and help

Hello,
In the P-40, you'll need to run the hydraulic pump to raise and lower the landing gear and flaps. Scott describes the system in some detail in this video from the 3:53 mark.

The button to operate the hydraulic pump is located on the joystick and can be assigned to a hardware control using the P-40 input configurator. You can also choose an automatic hydraulic pump option using the Shift 3 menu if you wish to make operation of the gear and flaps a little easier, albeit less realistic.
Thanks,
Nick
