Hey guys,
does it make sense to drain the fuel lines (fuel tank selector to "off", waiting for signs of fuel starvation) before cutting the mixture on shut down with the P40? I first saw that with the spitfire and I think it was for safety reasons (fuel fires).
By the way: I love that procedure because you even see more of the internal ongoings...
Thanks in advance,
Zacke

Zache, I don't think it can hurt but I can't say for sure regarding the P-40 specifically. While I shut my snow blower off this way I don't do this with airplanes since they are used more often.

Thanks for your reply, Scott.
Is the fuel in the lines persistant with the warbirds or is it always dry when starting the sim again?

If you reload the airplane, the fuel lines will at a settled state as if it has been sitting for an hour or so.
