Lost some keyboard commands

Post by triflyman »

Last 3 flights I have lost the following keyboard commands:
- Mixture
- Ground Steering
- Differential Braking

All used to work perfectly. Could not find a similar issue on the forum.

Thanks for any help

Hello,

are they all correctly mapped?

Are you using Windows 8 and FSX disc version?

thanks,

I re-mapped everything to be sure and then tried them on my other Propliners and they worked normally.

Yes my FSX is the Gold Edition from Disk.

Thanks

Hello,

have you mapped any using the included input config tools for any custom controls?

Also are you using FSX or all through FSUIPC? If FSUIPC have you tried default FSX?

thanks,

Sorry, forgot to confirm I'm using Windows 8.1. I have FSUIPC (non-registered version) installed so I guess I am going through it. How would I go default FSX. The FSUIPC was installed and used long before this started happening and worked for about 12 flights on the Strat.

Thanks,

I had used your utility to map the engines but after using that a couple of times just deleted the mapping so not used now. Opened up the utility to see if somehow things got re-mapped but it's all blank.

Thanks

Windows 8 has an issue with USB disconnects, if its working and then suddenly stops it could be this disconnecting your hardware?

Does it work at all or is it intermittent?

Up until 3 (now 4) flights ago worked fine...now does not work at all. Works fine on my other Propliners. I only disconnected the joystick after this happened...and I read a post that someone else did it and everything went back to normal. Should I try disconnecting the keyboard to see if the mixture works on my joystick? What about this FSUIPC you mentioned. Also...as I thought about it this occurred after I deleted my engine mapping from your Input Configure Tool...although since then I remapped these three items in FSX?

Thanks.

Wherever possible always use the included input configuration for mapping. FSUIPC I don't personally use so cannot talk about this software.

I now tried disabling FSUIPC and ran FSX...no difference. I also did not start up any of my Add-On's...no difference. Since both the Hot-Keys and the joystick buttons work on my other Propliners, and the native FSX aircraft, I got to thinking maybe the input configure tool was a problem so went into that and assigned a Hot-Key to the "Disable All" and tried again and hit the Hot-Key with the ship active, got a confirming message at the top of the screen, but no change. I also loaded the Goose to be sure the Hot-Keys worked to extend/retract the floats...they worked properly. I believe I have eliminated everything external to the B377/COTS files and believe it's got to be within those since these same Hot-Keys and controller buttons work on the other aircraft.

Any ideas for next step(s)?

Thanks.

Hello

the A2A input configuration is for the 377 the settings will only apply to that simulation.

Also just to check you have run the latest updater;

Found the problem...I realized I had installed WeatherShip from this forum just before all this happened. Removed it and put in the old panel.cfg and everything returned to normal. I'm going to post a warning on that post.

Thanks for your input. Next time I need to remember when I make changes...problem was from the time I installed that I had about 4 days I was gone and did not fly so I forgot about it.

Yes I did install the updater.

Downloaded Weathership again and did a new install. Everything seems to be working normally now with the App installed.

Must have gotten corrupted on the first download.

Have to wait a week before next flight...going out of town tomorrow.

Thanks again...weird experience.
