getting a (restart flight simulator message) on reinstalling

hello, getting resart flight sim message on reinstalling the 377 COTS. Engine runs very rough,white smoke . i am on vista home premium . i have my aftermarket aircraft on a seperate portable hdd.but i never had a problem with this before.i load them when i want. Also ,when uninstalling thru control panel ,the 377 cots,and 377 wings of silver(i have installed both)do not disappear from the control panel.deletes it from the sim aircraft in-game select list but not the sim aircraft list in sim objects/aircraft.need help please very frustrated with this . i have been reading lots an lots but i guess i missed anything on this issue. Thank You. (P.S. cannot find install.log message also when delete at controll panel)

issue solved: "TURN OFF YOUR AUTO-MIXTURE " yells Lewis...

Auto mixture caused a
Sim restart? Never heard of that one before?

Can you let us know in case it's one I need to retain it for future use.
