Flying tip pop up

Post by gxsmith »

Hey Guys, new to the B-377 strat. After I start up an engine a flying tip pop up appears about "engine is losing power because my mixture is not leaned correctly. It says press control and x but it doesn't seem to do anything. What am I doing wrong and how do I correct it? Also it appears that Heidi does not come to the boarding ramp and I don't hear her in the cabin any more. I had her when I first booted up the game, now she is gone. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks so much

Hello,

And welcome to the A2A Simulations community and support forums. I'd recommend turning the tool tips off as they are reading default FSX values or trying to understand systems that do not exist in a standard FSX program. Therefore the tool tips tend to not apply for the Accu-sim aircraft. Other things like Auto mixture should be turned OFF also under FSX settings. The required realism settings can be found in the manual located under your start menu >> all programs >> A2A Simulations

Thanks,

Thanks Lewis. I will do that. I just thought maybe I needed to adjust something on my plane but I was getting up in the air ok. Thanks again. I love this plane!

Sorry, to step in here with a small "adjustment". Be sure to deactivate the "FLYING TIPs" rather than the "TOOLTIPs". The latter can sometimes be very useful to idetify a switch or instrument or whatever... :lol:

... and I believe that the default key combination to turn them on is Ctrl-Shift-V, so name sure you're not hitting that by accident, or delete that assignment.

That worked, thanks for the help. While I am at it. I am having trouble getting airborne. I have flaps set at 25 going 110 "rotate" but when I am pulling back I go into a stall and crash. Am I pulling back too far or fast? I have made it sometimes but I need help to be consistent, Thanks

Be gentle on the climb out. Its a slow as hell shallow climb out until your speed builds, but once that speed has built its not easy to slow - sometimes I think of it being kinda like a train! :mrgreen:

Thanks Lewis, I thought I had to pull back hard to get the beast in the air. I will try slow and steady until I build up speed. Thanks again

Heres a good example (not the same aircraft but damn close) of the sort of shallow climb out you are looking for;
