Double engine failure - is it so soft in RL?

Post by jcomm »

I should probably ask... was it...

I did forget about this detail. When I took off this afternoon for a test flight, after leveling off at 6000' I decided to kill both left engines (#1 and #2).

Well, they automatically set full feather, and I increased power on #3,4

Strange is that there is no hint of yaw, with the ball staying perfectly centered. I guess the real thing would really require some good rudder input, and then rudder trim ?

Is this realistic, or a limitation of the underlaying FSX FDM?
Use your flight simulators with a well defined purpose...

Don't expect them to be "perfect" or to fully cover all aspects of simulated flight...

Try to enjoy it instead of stressing... ( in few words - don't be like me ... )
