2D pop ups

I Had to reinstall FSX because of a scenery problem.
After the FSX reinstall none of the 2D pop ups will appear. Nothing appears except a brief flash when I click F10 or any of the other 2D keys ie: shift+2,3,4,5,6,8 ect. I can't load or unload passengers. Can't increase or decrease fuel. I Cant reset oil or ADI levels. Can't set my NAV radios, Cant overhaul engines. In short I am grounded.
Everything seems fine except that I cant use the 2D pop up pages to perform vital functions.

So far,I have reinstalled both WOS and COTS
Thought for sure that would fix the problem but,
no joy

You need to install SP1 & SP2 for FSX or if you have it install your Acceleration

I have acceleration pack installed. Do I still need to install SP1 and SP2?

No, acceleration has SP1 & SP2 with it.
I would do a reinstall of the acceleration don't forget if you are running Win7 64 bit
To right click and run as administrator

Also might be worth reinstalling sim connect which is a component of FSX if the above doesn't work. Here is the sim connect installer;

Thanx Lewis & Ron,
Reinstalling Acceleration Pack was the ticket. I was barking up the wrong tree all along. I thought my problem was with WOS or COTS.
I'm happily flying again. My Strat is no longer a "Hanger Queen" : )

Hello,
I have a similar problem. Changed computer and the new one has windows 8. I do not have acceleration, but have installed SP1 and SP2. I also installed the file suggested above and it did not work. Also the "map" 2d windows appears but none of the others, they briefly flash only. Have reinstalled B377, COTS, Update 1, but no joy. Thanks for the help.

Sounds as if you have my old problem exactly.
Don't forget you must reinstall both WOS and COTS.
My problem did not go away untill I reinstalled Acceleration Pack. That also corrected my prop reverse problem too.
All said tho, if you aren't running acceleration pack I can't give you much help.

Try reinstalling sp2 and remember to make sure to right click and run as admin for all installations and also to restart the system after each installation.
