The second leg of our trip along the Burma Road takes us from Lashio to Kunming, the final base of the American Volunteer Group. Kunming was also the destination of the flights from India to China across "the Hump".
On the way, we cross the Salween Gorge, site of the AVG's greatest victory, where they stopped the advancing Japanese army in its tracks and changed the course of the war.
