Friday, June 17 - Yangtze River Expedition - First Leg

Post by ratty »

The Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia, the third-longest in the world and the longest in the world to flow entirely within one country. It rises at Jari Hill in the Tanggula Mountains and flows 3,900 miles to the East China Sea.

Over the next few weeks we'll be exploring the Yangtze, starting in Shanghai and following it to its source near Yushu. Our first leg is 485 nautical miles and takes us to Wuhan (yes, THAT Wuhan), the capital of Hubei Province.
