Sunday, November 28 - Central Poland (and a bit of Slovakia)
We start at Warsaw/Modlin Airport and follow the Vistula River as far as Deblin, then fly southwest to Skarżysko-Kamienna, birthplace of Krzysztof Ratajski, winner of the 2017 World Masters darts tournament. From there we fly south past Kielce and Krakow to the Western Carpathian Mountains. Crossing these, we enter Slovakian airspace to land at Žilina, regional capital, and home to a Kia Motors plant producing more than 300,000 cars a year.
This is a 300-mile trip, so fast GA, please.

You are missing the most scenic area of the High Tatry mountains which lie along
the border to the east of Namestovo, which is on the western end of the lake, then
following the border eastward to Zakopane and then drop down to Poprad.
I would then fly west to Zilina via Liptovsky Mikulas and Ruzomberok.
I have relatives in Zilina as well as Oravska Lesna whish is just west of Namestovo.
During my visits to the area I have driven that whole area. That long leg going
SW from central Poland to the border crossing is pretty flat and not that interesting.
Unfortunately I will be in Waikiki again and won't be available for the flight.

Thanks! I had a feeling you would have some input on this one. It's an area that I know you know well, but which we have largely ignored. I thought the stretch out of Warsaw would be a bit dull, but I figured if we can survive the Russian steppes we can handle anything, and I was pretty sure the mountains would spice things up a bit towards the end.
I've incorporated your suggestions into a revised Skyvector link, posted above and here: https://skyvector.com/?ll=50.9090370178 ... 52E%20LZZI
Sorry you won't make this one, but I've a feeling we'll be out this way again.
