Ian, the weatherships drift within a 210 SQUARE MILE area, thus approx. 105 miles in any direction.

EDIT: Also, remind everyone to review the fuel xfer procedure as you will need to do that when the inboard
tanks run dry Actually that should be done after takeoff and initial climb to burn down the outboard tanks
to equal the 830 gal on the inboards, then go tank to engine

3 hours, 57 minutes in the air.

A ways to go before I pick up the Gander HF. Cruising at 20K, wind now 329 @ 11, Ground speed 244 kts.

Fuel: 617, 610, 618, 634 gallons.

Landed CYQX after 6 hr 58 min in flight.

Fuel at takeoff: 1207, 820, 820, 1207 Gallons
Fuel at CYQX: 366, 360, 363, 364 Gallons

Oil at start: Full
Oil at CYQX: 35, 35, 36, 37 gal (They are R3350's after all )

Winds enroute varied fro tail winds to cross winds and velocities from 3 - 24 Mph.
Started descent 125 nm out, 1K fpm initially, 186 knts IAS. Changed to 500 fpm from around 60 miles out
until reaching 2K AGL. Began approach ~20 miles from Rwy 21.

Landed Rwy 21 with a cross wind from the west. On the center line with a 'thump' when the mains touched down
followed by a 'chirp' when the nose gear touched down.

Weather ships and HF sites used for navigation the whole way. I didn't have the Loran sites on my highly
modified Weathership gauge but have added them now for tomorrows flight. Should be able to get more
accurate fixes with them available.

Re: the weathership drift:

If in fact they're drifting over an area of 210 square miles rather than in an area 210 miles square it means they're probably operating in a circular area about 16 miles across.

Does anyone have issues with the weathership panel causing extreme lag on p3dv5? I made it about 100NM past Juliet before I gave up. When I tried to adjust the panel I'd drop to about 5FPS for a minute at a time.

To make sure this wasn't my sim in general, I hopped in the T-6 afterward and flew an hour without one issue in performance.

No known issues re lag and the Weathership panel. Flown many hours with it open. Must be elsewhere on your system. Suggest you look at things like Anti-viruses. Put your flight sim folder on an exemption if it’s not already. Heavy cloud cover could also effect frames, try turning down the quality settings in Active sky or whatever cloud texture programme you are using.
