January 19th MP flight, Cubbing antics

We take off from Placerville KPVF, follow Interstate 50 to the east. We'll come along Lake Tahoe KTVL for late starters and/or t&g's.
After that we head over north over the Lake. If you are wearing your tundra tires, you can try to skid along the lake.
At the north end we make landfall Kings Beach, following the road to KTRK Truckee, again for picking up late starters, lake crashers and/or t&g's.
From there we follow Highway 80 until we come across Blue Canyon KBLU, where we will land. 92NM, expect 1hr30m flight time in the cub.

It looks like I'm not going to make the flight this Sunday but I just flew it today and it's a great route! Impressive scenery, fun navigation, and an irresistible bridge just to the north of Truckee-Tahoe airport. Thanks, Toby!

I'm also going to be absent on Sunday due to work. I'm working on Liverpool v Man U which is due to kick off at 1630 so no way I'll be back for the flight. If it's anywhere as good as last weeks It'll be great fun.

LouP: I posted this some time back, but it pretty much still applies: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=63659. One significant change is that "The Skypark" server is gone. Now we meet on the DigitalThemePark hub on JoinFS. You'll need to PM Lewis to get an invite to the A2A Discord channel, if you're not already on it. Scroll down a bit in the link above and you'll see that Lewis has a link to Discord, so that should make getting to Discord pretty easy.

Then, I'd recommend that you try logging on to JoinFS and Discord and your airplane, just to get the feel for it. Feel free to show up before our flight and ask any questions that you might have. I typically show up about a half-hour early just to get my airplane preflighted, warmed up, etc., and to see who's there, if we want to use real weather or clear, or whatever. It's all very informal and a whole lot of fun!
