Hey guys,
Since multiple people have said what I was thinking as well, I'm hereby opening a new round of MP flights, with the goal to provide the same fun environment for "realistic" MP-flights, but with a shorter time span, as ~4h is too much for some people.
Saturday seems to work fine so far, but Friday would be better since we won't compete with the original flight, and I guess some of you would like to attend both flights, so nobody would need to choose between the two flights.
We will probably stay below the current normal cruise altitudes of ~26.000-28.000ft, so we don't need to climb too high/long.
I will be preparing a PDF file like the one that's done for the other flight (+PLN, PLG, Weather charts). For those of you who haven't seen this before, I'll be posting one in this thread from the other flight.
It will contain the route, weather, recommended power settings, fuel, parking spaces, a list of participants and a list of the 3rd party skins being used.
I've created a screenshot thread in this forum, so that we don't bloat this thread up with pictures and it remains readable for new members.
Basics:
- flight time: ~1.5h, so with startup etc. we'll be at around 2h per flight (for special occasions we can talk about extending it)
- time: Friday's, 2000Z
- aircraft: fighter type, or "fast" bombers -> 200+ mph IAS in cruise
Flight #2: 11/02/11
Does anyone have a suggestion or request for the next flight? If so, please post it here. Otherwise I'll be selecting another route and send it out Wednesday.
Please send me your email-adresses via PM if you want to join!
Cheers, Stefan

Sure mate, I'll be up for friday, but I would really like to continue flying as usual on saturday.
Re: 2H: Multiplayer flights the short way
Since we can not change our settings once in the flight, can we please use the same kind of airports with there surronding auto gen for both depature and arrival.
Tha way, we are not taking off from a bush strip where we can have our display setting set high to get good visuals only to arrive at a busy airport and surrounding city making us either have to keep our setting down low for the whole flight for our arrival or up high only to have stutters when we land.
I'll be down for Friday.

I was thinking about picking a "smaller" airport for departure/destination anyway, with some bigger ones on the way.Kilstorm wrote:Since we can not change our settings once in the flight, can we please use the same kind of airports with there surronding auto gen for both depature and arrival.

Flying into the big international airports is weird
(also it looks rather empty everytime).
I'm looking at finding a nice route right now, so we know what to expect.
Cheers, Stefan
P.S.: I'm all for Friday as well!

Re: 2H: Multiplayer flights the short way
Stefan,
I've got to work on friday night, so I'll probably be 30 minutes or so later.
Just to give you a heads up. Don't however let me stopping you from beginning the flight, I can join in mid-air.

depending on how many new ppl join, we might need a few additional minutes anyway to sort the initial issues out

I just loaded the airports yesterday WITHOUT PNW and they are still there and don't look too bad.
You should try it yourself (CYBL and W27 - although W27 isn't much in general ) and decide then!

Hey,
I have the Accusim Spit and I'm interested in joining some multiplayer fun.
As I'm new to all this, what network do you use ? The built-in FSX multiplayer, or vatsim or ivao ? Or something else ?
thanks
