Hi guys.

It's been a while but as the title suggests, today I noticed that turning on reflections in the mirror results in an immediate CTD. Any clue why this happens?

Turning it off is a solution but I would prefer it, if I could see the 'real' world behind me if I can. Just in case hun tries sneaking up on me.

Which sim are you using, Steve?

Sorry. P3D v5.3 Academic sir.

I notice that despite installing the version for P3D v5, the header of the configurator says it is for v4. Is it not intended for v 5 perhaps?

Hi Steve,

I jumped down an MSFS Spitfire rabbit hole last night and forgot to check. I always fly with the mirror activated in P3Dv5.3 with no issues and I've just now confirmed that I can set up a flight, turn it off and turn it back on and it works normally. My Aircraft Configurator is also labeled P3Dv4.

I'm getting annoyed with P3D now. Started the sim up for the first time today and now the mirror works as intended, on and off.

What I have noticed over the past few weeks on starting the sim, is that previously activated add-ons are asking to be activated again. It's only one product at a time but is a different one each time. This suggests to me that something may have gone awry on my partial upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3. I may need to do a clean install from scratch.

Not just you! You're a life saver though, I hadn't been able to fly the Spitfire recently, then found your post! I turned the mirrors off in the configurator and it worked again!

I wonder what is it that causes that!?
