Sim P3D V4 crash

Post by david1952 »

[SOLVED]

Hi

After installing to the default folder, the P3D sim stops loading and quits.

Thanks, David

Hello David,

How are you loading the Spitfire in P3Dv4? Do you load a default P3D aircraft first, and then switch to the Spit?

Any more information you can provide on the circumstances of the crash will be helpful. Windows Reliability Monitor is an easy way to view information relating to system crashes.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi

I don't get to to that stage, the main sim closes after 30 seconds or so.

Thanks, David

David,

Please can you share the crash log as suggested above. It's almost impossible to troubleshoot the cause unless you can provide a bit more basic info.

Please can you also confirm the path that Prepar3D v4 in installed to, and also the installation path of the Spitfire itself.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi

I installed the Spitfire in the place where the installer directed me.
I am also sending a shot of the Task Manager showing the P3D in it but not above as it should be.

Hello,

It would help if you can give us more information i your replies. For exaexample where did you install the software. The installer by default will select a path that can be changed and can even be wrong if your system registry is corrupted hence us asking.

Thanks,
Lewis

Hi Guys

Thanks for your help.
I was forced to reinstall the P3D V4 and start everything from scratch.

Hello David,

what was the issue that caused you to reinstall, was it a corrupt P3D Platform install?
