[Solved] Can't "install" new props
[Solved] Can't "install" new props
It seems that I can't switch out my props in the maintenance hangar. Once I click on another prop to install, it switches for just a second then goes back to the wooden. If my game is paused though, the switch holds until I un-pause the game and then it goes back. I have no trouble switching the canopies though. Any suggestions?

Re: Can't "install" new props
Have you restarted your machine since you installed?
Are you running FSX as an admin if using Win7?
The change can have a micro pause, so dont double click. One click.

I just bought the new WOP 3 spit and installed it. Accusim is something extra? I already have all previous accusim aircraft.Scott - A2A wrote:Do you have Accu-Sim installed?

Yes, Accu-Sim is an addon to the Wings of POWER III: Spitfire. It interfaces our own engine to Microsoft FSX. Accu-Sim is what controls all that propeller code.
Here is the product in our store:

We have a bundle offer, $5 off. If you decide to get Accu-Sim, PM me your order number or last name and we'll credit you back the $5.

Re: Can't "install" new props
Just to make absolutely clear:
Accusim are the realism modules that you have to install on top of the aircraft that they belong to. You have to purchase them separately or, for a $5 discount, bundle them with the base aircraft when you purchase that.
If you are not aware of that by now, I'm afraid you don't have any Accusim aircraft, but only the base aircraft without all the realism, engine modeling and other features that make Accusim so special.
The easiest way to clear up if that's the case: each Accusim aircraft consists of two separate installation files, in this case:
wop3 spitfire.exe
wop3 spitfire accusim.exe
If you only have one per aircraft, you never had Accusim.

The passive aggressive insults aren't needed mano. The problem has been fixed.Jigsaw wrote:Just to make absolutely clear:

Huh? You shouldn't read bad intentions into things. My only intention was to clear things up some more in order to help you and to get misunderstandings out of the way. Nice to see that you appreciate that I took the time to explain the concept in detail. And this last remark was indeed passive aggressive. Don't expect any help from me in the future, "mano". Good day.olydl03 wrote:The passive aggressive insults aren't needed mano.

Probably a language thing and the different way people can read the same sentence,a shortcoming of a reading only format.

Re: Can't "install" new props
Beldar,
You need Accu-Sim to change the props, but I can see that the props are defaulting to the wooden ones, and without Accu-Sim you can't get the variable speed ones. I uploaded some default dat files for you to try.
Download this file:
http://www.a2asimulations.com/wingsofpo ... t_dats.zip
and extract it to your DOCUMENTS\A2A\FSX\Spitfire folder, over-writing what is there.
Let me know if you are ok,
Scott.

Re: Can't "install" new props
Accusim isn't installed. You probably made the same mistake I did in assuming the new spitfire was the accusim upgrade to the old one that was already released. A2A released another WOP spitfire along with the accusim which you will need to also purchase.beldar wrote:i have the same problem, when i load the MIIB it comes with the wooden 2bladed prop and i cant change it in the hanger!!! the 3

Here's the link to the accusim as it was given to me:

Hope that helped.
