Here's The Guardian's review, with trailer, of a documentary celebrating the Spitfire upon the RAF's 100th Anniversary -- including some fine MkI/II aerial shots:

Looks great, but it could be a while before us non-Brits see it.

Cheers,
Grant

Released today on Itunes. Can’t wait to see it.
Fitting that Tom Neil and Geoffrey Wellum feature in it and we have another record of their recollections before they sadly both passed away this last week.

Here we go, looks like a real tear jerker for me;

And RIP to Geoffrey Wellum who unfortunately passed away a couple of days ago on the 18th July 2018 :cry:

cheers,
Lewis

That's excellent news on the iTunes and Blu-ray releases, thanks.

And, yes, RIP for Geoffrey Wellum, among the finest of The Few. The 'First Light' movie on his RAF career is superb -- the opening encounter with a Ju88 in clouds gets you right in the gut ...

And Mary Ellis, one of the Air Transport Auxiliary pilots, the "Spitfire Girls" who were featured in the film. She passed away soon after the release of the film, as well.
