MFG pedals adjustments

Post by francesco.doenz »

Just got the MFG pedals and was wondering what the optimum adjustments are to get as close as possible to the real world pedals of the Spitfire? I posted the same question fot the Jug.
Thanks in advance for your opinions...

I don't have them but looking at the video I'll offer the following...

The travel looks good to go.

The "friction" needs to be light as at any speed you are using rudders in the Spit, they are light to the touch.

Vertical position of rudder pedals..your choice.. The Spit rudder pedals are vertical almost BUT the foot rests ON steps in them, so quite flat if you like....

Hope that helps?

Unbelievable, your are always on the lookout!
Yes, that helps a lot, I have to adjust the pedals more vertically, and what about the width, you have the choice between 46,5cm, 49,5cm and 52,5 cm?

:) :)

Centre of pedal to centre of pedal is 35cm in my sim, which is about the 14 inches of the real aircraft.

Just got home and sat in it and my feet rest at approximately 35 or 40 degrees on the bottom steps and 50 or so on the top (never use the top steps myself as it is uncomfortable and most pilots never used them except at very high G.. If at all)

Well, this is what I suspected, the standard width of these pedals is to wide, and I have to order the adapter for the width!
Thank you Killratio!
